As a Mama, wife, owner of two businesses (and board member of others) it is often hard to move my needs to the top of the to-do list.
I know how important it is to "put my own oxygen mask on first." in order to help the other people in my life. And yet, prioritising my own care is something I rarely make time for. No matter how hard I try to.
I aim to change that this summer with an experiment in self-care. From the 21st of June until the 22nd of September (the days of summer) I will be including at least one item of self-care into my daily life with the goal of making it a central part of my life, not just a line item on my to-do list.
Throughout the summer, I'll be trying out various types of self-care to find out what refuels me, what fits with my lifestyle and what brings me the most joy.
